Jeep says the Wrangler is good for 21 miles of all-electric range, which works out to a few hours of electric-only trail riding, at which point the gas engine will take over to bring you home. The Wrangler 4xe is offered only in the four-door Unlimited body style with a single powertrain, which expands its off-road chops to mean an electrified full-family adventure.A hybrid powertrain Wrangler isn't something we'd have bet money America would love. Turns out, America loves it more than any other plug-in hybrid. It's currently the best-selling PHEV in the country, and Jeep expanded its trim offerings for 2024 to a total of six. Each is fitted with the unique electrified powertrain: A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder is assisted by a 44-horsepower starter generator. In addition, there's an electric motor integrated into the eight-speed automatic transmission. Combined output is a stout 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. Two transfer case options, available locking differentials, and multiple axle ratios are offered, depending on which trim you choose.
